Bio: Dr. Jay Mandrekar is the Primary Statistician for the Mayo Clinic Department of Neurology. He has a joint appointment within the Department of Neurology. He also supports research projects from other clinical areas that include: Surgery, Nursing Research, Physical and Medical Rehabilitation, and Clinical Microbiology. He serves as a Biostatistics Editor for both the Cephalalgia and Mayo Clinic Proceedings journals. In his role as a Director of Biostatistics Core, Mayo Clinic he supervises over 200 Master’s and Bachelor’s level statisticians. Dr. Mandrekar’s research interests include the application of biostatistics to improve the clinical management of patients with neurologic and other diseases at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Mandrekar is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
